Medical Bills

On June 24th 2011, Cindi Cummings went to Mary Greeley Medical Center for a typical surgery to relieve her of extreme back pain and came out with the diagnosis of stage 4 Hurthle Cell Thyroid cancer that had metastasized throughout her body.  The initial diagnosis took a few weeks but her doctors worked tirelessly to find the poitn of origin.  This cancer can take months to dianose because of it's rarity.  With the help of her doctors at Mary Greeley and Bliss Center, they were able to rebuild her spine, remove her thyroid, administer radioactive iodine, as well as conducting three weeks of radiation. She was referred to a leader in Hurthle Cell cancer at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Bible.  She has undergone multiple clinical trials, just finished another round of radiation to her lung, and will hopefully begin a new drug soon.
