Summer Acting Program in Greece

I was accepted to a summer acting program through One Year Lease Theatre Company in New York City. The Program is the One Year Lease Apprentice Program. This apprenticeship is highly competitive, accepting only fourteen students into its four-week long program that takes place in Northern Greece. It centers on inspiring the individual theatre artist; OYL will expose me to a variety of training methods, techniques, and help strengthen my acting and understanding of ensemble-driven theatre. It will also include a series of performances throughout the local villages in the Zagorohoria region. I am a Drama Major at Vassar College and know that this would be an invaluable experience for me in honing my craft and making connections to the drama world beyond Vassar. I have learned through all the productions I have participated in at Vassar that ensemble is key; a show can't run without every member giving his or her all. I believe that attending One Year Lease's program will allow me to work in this realm of thinking and help me explore, even more, what it means to be a part of an ensemble, letting me grow as an individual theatre maker as well. Unfortunately the program costs $6,000 and that is something I just cannot afford. Any amount of money will help! One Year Lease Apprentice Program
