Kare 4 Katrael

When Katrael was just 18 months old, she was diagnosed with Langerhans cell histiocytosis, a rare disease causing excess immune system cells to build up in her body. The illness has severely damaged her lungs and liver, and a double-lung /liver transplant was essential and had to depend on an oxygen tank for her every breath. She was added to the transplant waiting list in May of 2012. Katrael made her transition on April 5, 2014 while waiting on the transplants.

This had not only been difficult for Katrael but continues to be difficult for the entire family; as her parents, Katrina and Mike would quite often spend time away from her siblings to car for her. Despite the challenges, they have always kept the faith.

Due to Katrael's untimely passing, Katrina and Mike were not emotionally, mentally or financially prepared. We are now asking for help in an effort to support the family, going forward so they do not have the burden of finances during such a difficult time.
