In Grace's early 20's, she began experiencing symptoms from a congenital disease called psoriasis. It causes her very painful arthritis and also itchy skin patches. Over the years her symptoms have become significantly worse until it began interfering with her everyday life. At the young age of 32, she now experiences many days that she is unable to even ride her horse!
Although she is a warrior throughout her continuous pain, she is now faced with something that seems more horrific. After seeing her rheumatologist for a routine chest exam to try out a new medication for her psoriasis, several nodules were found on her lungs. Additionally, it was later found that her lymph nodes took up radioactive materials during a PET scan.
What does this mean? Grace will undergo an immediate surgery to first of all, rule out cancer. The doctors are not taking this lightly, however, may in fact turn out to be something perfectly treatable.
Her lymph nodes taking up radioactive material is an indication of early stages of malignancies (or cancer). The type at this time is unknown and her doctors are being positive about her prognosis. Whatever these cells are that have decided to attack her body, will be treated as soon as possible.
We are asking for your help as the bills keep coming in. She is overwhelmed at this time and is also being forced from her home and farm due to unforseen circumstances.
