Poppy's road to recovery

Hello all and apologies for the long gap in updates. It’s been an up and down road over the past 6 months for Poppy and her family. She has contracted some sort of fungal infection in her liver which scared the heck out of us all and is battling back. She hasn’t had anything to eat in weeks and we are hoping to see some improvements this week. With Jen trying to homeschool the littles, be by Poppy’s side, George back and forth from Van to Victoria to try and tend to the older girls, keep the farm alive and get a minute of work in...The time has come that the White’s are in need of your financial help again if you can. Poppy's world has gone from spider bite to Flu to Lymes disease to Luekemia in a matter of hours. Poppy is my and Steve's 11 year old niece and one of 6 girls - 2 younger and 3 older. She is a high energy, avid and incredible soccer player that is very involved with her community. She recently fell ill with a final diagnosis of Leukemia. Poppy underwent bone marrow testing today to confirm, and is undergoing another surgery tomorrow for a line into her heart. She will start an agressive round of chemo on Sunday or Monday for a least another week while having to stay in Vancouver for many weeks or months to come. Poppy is looking at 2 years of treatments and a long road, travelling back and forth with her parent's Jenny and George. George has his own business but needs to be with his daughter which leaves them with no income unless he works. They need your help very soon and the funds will be used to help with travel expenses for a family of 8 so her sisters can be along her side as well. If you cannot help financially, I will be accepting vegetarian dishes that I can deliver up to Cowichan where they live to help the family that is at the house. Poppy and her family need this help. She is the strongest little girl we know which will persevere through this fight! With your help the family will be a little more at ease, allowing them to focus on Poppy who needs them right now more than ever.
