Rebuilding Sol Naciente

The photo above is a picture of what is left of one of the schools that we work in a town called Pachacutec. The name of the school is Sol Naciente. This is the tragic scene two of our teachers encountered when they went to work just two days ago, all of the school, but three classrooms, had been burned to the ground. The director of the school, Mr. Polo, was so stricken with grief upon seeing his school burning he was hospitalized. After some investigations and finding traces of gasoline on the wood the police have concluded that the burning of the school was an act of arson. After being released from the hospital Mr. Polo has told us that they have three classrooms to teach in right now but they need more so all the students can return to class, because if the students cannot return to class within a certain number of days they will have no option but to close the school. So, of course, we want to help out the school so we are raising money to rebuild two classrooms. The cost of each classroom is 1500 soles and the cost for two classrooms is around 3000 soles (around 1100 US dollars).
