2014 Qld Boccia Team

Hi, we are the Qld State Boccia Team and we're seeking your help to meet our travel costs to attend the 2014 Boccia Australia National Titles in Sydney next month.

Boccia is a Paralympic sport played by athletes with Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystropy or similar conditions (www.boccia.com.au). In Qld our sport is managed by the Sporting Wheelies & Disabled Association.

We are the strongest Qld Boccia team to have ever represented this state, boasting five current & former Australian representatives in our ranks! We are also very proud & excited to be welcoming five enthusiastic & skilled junior athletes onto our team who will be making their national debuts at this year's event. Add to the mix some cracker senior debutants and seasoned state representatives and we're confident that we have the team to bring home this year's national top state honours!

We train together as a team every Saturday afternoon in addition to each member's regular club & individual training program. It's a busy schedule but we've also been working hard to raise funds through sausage sizzles & raffle ticket sales. We have now set up this page because some of our relatives & friends have asked how they can support us even if they can't get along to one of our fundraising events.
