Medical Help For Sondra

Hello,
The below letter is written from dear friend Dot Chance. I just wanted to update and say, I did have surgery on 4/21 and the Dr. removed a tumor the size of a golf ball and lazored all remaining cancer growths he could visibly see. I am waiting for Pathology report and find out on Thursday what kind of CHEMO I will have to go through. Doctor said it will be 3 days in a row, and the remaining 2 days will be used for my transfusions. I invite you to please pray for my 1)strength and healing 2) for Doctors to have wisdom in treating me 3) and for the necessary funds to pay all the different vendors involved in medical treatments as well as hospital.

The Doctor does not take the small insurance co. I have but went ahead and did the surgery so as to not with hold immediate care and surgery. However, I am responsible now to pay for the entire amounts. I so apprecaite any help you can give. Dot has written a beautiful letter and I am so grateful to those who can help. The bills are coming in now...and together with your help, I am getting the proper treatment and care. My only Prayer is to get well so I can return to the Mission field and finish the work GOD has given me to do.

God Bless You, Sondra

PS. I am updating email to all those who can or have helped.

Dear Friends of Sondra Berry-Young,

My name is Dot Chance and I am a friend of Sondra's. Please take a moment out of your busy day to read this.

Sondra is definitely "where the rubber meets the road!" There are so many people who love Sondra Berry Young and want the very best for her. Sondra desperately needs our HELP right now "“ don't delay! Sondra is in the battle of her life "“ she is battling to live and fulfill the call God has given her.

Sondra is alone, she is not married. I think the verse about helping the widows and the orphans applies to her. Through her TREASURES FOR TOTS and TEENS program, in memory of her daughter Anna, she has reached thousands of children in Africa with books, clothing, gifts, education material, and food.

Through their MA MA'S HOUSE'S they feed children regularly. And over 1,000 Leper's in Africa are given RICE at Christmas. For more picture's and programs of Sondra's Ministry, please see her website at www.sondraberryyoung.

The doctors did not give Sondra a good report. In fact, it wasn't good at all. She needs surgery right away. Whose report shall we believe? Sondra has chosen to believe the report of the Lord! I am standing with her, will you please stand with her too? Five new tumors have been discovered in her body and she is at the specialist right now finding out the treatment plan.

There are several verses in the Bible that talk about Jesus going about and healing them "ALL. " Here is one that stands out, Luke 6:18-20 King James Version (KJV) 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

There are a few ways you can help. #1 "“ PRAY, #2 "“ GIVE, #3 "“ Volunteer to drive Sondra to medical appointments. Let's show her some love by standing with her.

Sondra has bursts of energy and drives herself most of the time, but she is weak and needs help. Her precious daughter and son-in-law both work full-time and help Sondra as they can. They can't do it all. Please keep Felicia and David in prayer too!We need people to volunteer their time to help drive or help Sondra.

For those of you who do not know, Sondra is battling ovarian cancer. Although she has insurance she still has some huge medical bills to pay and the hospitals and the doctors are demanding payment NOW. As ill as she is, Sondra shouldn't have to worry about paying her medical bills.

Some of you may think that because she has spent so much time in the hospital and at doctors' offices that she has not been doing the work of the ministry. If that is what you think you couldn't be more wrong, Sondra amazes me. From her sickbed Sondra is still in touch with her people in South Africa almost daily and helping them with their needs. From her sickbed, she has helped coordinate disaster relief that Bill Henderson and my husband, Bobby Chance have done all over the world. She is always there to offer encouragement and prayer.

Sondra has been a missionary to South Africa for more than 22 years and has coordinated and led the Rose Parade Outreach in Pasadena for many, many years. Sondra's ministry to Africa is still going and she is still overseeing this great ministry!

No gift is too large and no gift is too small. What can you do to help Sondra right away? Bobby and I will make a commitment to help, please do the same. Together, we can help ease the financial burden for Sondra as she goes through treatment and battles this illness!

Oh, one last thing you can do. Please send Sondra a card, an email, a text or pick up the phone and give her a call and let her know that she is not alone. Let Sondra know that you are standing with her in her commitment to fight for the fight of her life! The battle belongs to The Lord! [email redacted]
