Help us to Keep our Home

Friends and loved ones,

Times have been very hard for the victims in our area, first with the wild fires and then with the mudslides in Monticeto. Our family like so many others was effected by the natrual disasters and we are so lucky that we still have a house and our belongings. However, being that both Giuliano and I are self employeed, we lost over 2 months of income to the disasters and then to medical complications surrounding the birth of our daughter born Jan 26th, 2018.
This has impacted our ability to cover our rent for the past 2 months and our landlord has been kind enough to allow us to stay, knowing that I just had a baby and cannot do physical work for another 6 weeks per the doctors orders. However she called us yesterday and said that our time is running out, if we cannot pay her something soon. Giuliano will be starting a new job as his office was effected in the Monticeto mudslides , but it will be weeks before he sees any income. I am trying to do some design work while recovering from surgery, but I am limited in my capasity.
It is hard to reach out for help, especially after our loved ones and friends helped the boys to have a nice christmas.
We are trying to raise enough money to catch up with at least one month of rent which is $3,000, otherwise our living situation is very fragile at this time and we could be facing homelessness in the near future.
To make matters worse, we had saved $10,000 for my maternity leave, but a local client of mine ordered $9,000 of extra materials for a project and refused to pay, clearing out our savings account just before the baby was born. We are awaiting the judgement from small claims court, but may never see the money again. Not all people in Ojai are kind or fair sadly.

It is very hard to ask for help, but at this time we have no other options and are very scared about the future of our little family as we have no where to go should we loose our house.

We are happy to payback any help that we recieve and usually we do pretty good when we can work. We count our blessings everyday as so many of our friends have even less that we do after these horrible disasters.

Anything helps and we are so grateful to all of you!

With love Giuliano, Amber, Nicolas, Akasha and Baby Bee <3
