Kevin Boyd's Funeral Costs

My name is Michelle and I am asking for help for our good friend, Kevin Boyd's family.   Where do I start...our dear friend, mentor, coach, son and amazing father and husband unexpectedly passed away on February 29, 2016.  He leaves behind the love of his life and soulmate, Jordana Boyd and 3 amazing boys, Logan 17, Eric 13 and Landon 9.

A bit about Kevin which is hard as there is so much to say about him.  For those that had the honour of calling Kevin a friend or if you had the pleasure of meeting him for 5 minutes, 5 hours, 5 days or many years, you knew Kevin was a geniunely great guy.    He LOVED his wife and his boys as they were his everything.  He LOVED football. He played football and when his time as a player stopped, he coached.  For the past 24 years he coached at Crocus Plains High School in Brandon, Manitoba.  Here is where he made the biggest impact. The kids he mentored and coached not only on the field but in life as well looked up to him and respected him not only as a coach but also as a friend.  He was the Director at Career Connections where he helped people with disabilities find jobs.  His door there was always open to anyone who just needed an ear or to get his advice regardless if you worked there or not.  His heart was bigger than anyone's I knew, his smile bigger and his love of life you could hear in his gigantic laugh for miles around.  Kevin could always make you smile regardless of how you felt that day.  Just having him near you just made you feel better.  Kevin really was bigger than life!

A couple of years ago Kevin and Jordana had a housefire that left them "homeless".   Since then they have been battling with paperwork and re-zoning issues and finally just a couple of months ago got the go ahead to start to rebuild this spring.   Whatever life fed them they did it with class and a smile.  They had each other and their boys so they had everything they needed.  Looking forward to starting fresh they were ready to take on the world together. That world came crashing down in one sad swoop.  A day of sadness not only did his beloved family feel,  but was felt in the football community and anyone who knew him felt the sadness and heartache.

Kevin's wife Jordana.  She is so humble and one of the most strong, beautiful souls I have ever met and I am blessed that they came into my families life and that I can call her my friend.

But.....she needs our help.  I know she doesn't want to accept it but sometimes we as a community need to step up and just give that help.   I ask that if you are able, please help out.  Any little bit helps and I know Kevin is smiling down on them and all of us knowing he left her in good hands.

Thank you so much in advance.
