Steph's Cancer Battle

Donation protected
Dear friends and family,

My name is Joe, I am writing this letter for my dear wife Stephanie who is battling breast and bladder cancer, and an 18 year fight against  Lupus.
I waited 49 years to finally marry my highschool sweetheart, she truly is the love of my life and I can't bare the thought of losing her. Stephanie has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known. She is a fighter and has so much left to give to others in this life.

Stephanie has overcome odds and succeeded in all areas of her life. She worked hard in a small rural highschool a became state player of the year and on to play division one volleyball. While attending the University on a full athletic scholarship she was elected President of her class and graduated with honors, going on to become a registered nurse. Stephanie also has a love for music, she has sang her entire life, traveling professionally in the Christian music industry as well as a stint with Bill Gaither Homecoming Tour. Her prayer is to recover from cancer and to sing again. Stephanie simply wants to live to grow old with me, her husband. To be here for her family and to see the birth of her grandchild.  To serve God and all of thoes God puts in her path.

She needs your help now to fight back against cancer. The medical bills are coming like clockwork for all the specialist she has to see and all of the test including a pet scan which is very expensive even with insurance the deductibles are very high. She hasn't been able to work for quite a while. She was uninsured for many months, as we were having to pay full amounts for visits, tests, prescriptions and treatments. As so many know, the bills mount up and even with insurance now, we are fighting just to stay out of collections. After much prayer together, I chose to quit my job and took a job less than a mile from home so I could be closer to my wife, taking a major pay cut. We live in a small two bedroom rental home and currently have one vehicle, but we are blessed to have a roof over our heads. God is always good no matter how tough the road may be. With surgeries and treatments, we are thousands in debt, but are thankful for God's compassion as she fights on, We don't always understand the "why's" but we never question God's wisdom. Stephanie has seen death in so many families as an RN and has held the hands of children and all ages as they have passed on. We simply thank God for every day we have together.

Above all we appreciate your thoughts and prayers and we know that our only hope is in God Almighty. Thank you in advance for any prayers and any help that God lays on your heart. Stephanie recorded one project several years ago, after singing with many others, her heart led her to record one project to honor God and for her family. Here is a link to one of her songs that truly reflects her heart even now, "You Set Me Free". We pray it might be a simple blessing should anyone choose to listen.
