Four years ago, my twin sister Chelsea and I became involved in a ministry called Westside for Jesus. At the time, we had no idea how much this ministry and this community would impact our lives.
Westside is a low-income housing complex in downtown Chattanooga that houses some of the most precious kids in the world. However, violence, drugs, and abuse has also crept its way into this community and become a way of life for many of those who live here. Westside for Jesus is a ministry where students from Southern Adventist University go into the community and play, pray, and build relationships with these people, in hopes that they will see that there is more to live for in life.
Our vision is to further this ministry by sending the kids of Westside to Cohutta Springs Youth Camp (CSYC) this summer where they will be surrounded by people who care about them and who want to help them make Jesus real in their lives. But we need your help.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 in order to send 42 kids to camp. To send one camper over the age of 9 would cost $385 per week, and one camper aged 7-9 would cost $335 per week. As counselors who have worked at CSYC, we have seen the life-changing impact that camp can have on kids' lives, and we desperately want these kids to have the same opportunity.
You have two easy opportunities to donate to this cause:

2) You can write a check out to Cohutta Springs Youth Camp. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ON THE MEMO LINE YOU WRITE "CAMPERSHIP FUND/WESTSIDE." The address to send the check to is as follows:

If you would like to receive a receipt for tax exemption purposes, just mail with the check a piece of paper indicating that you would like a receipt, and also include the address to where the receipt can be mailed.
