On February 13,2022 Reagan was taken to the emergency room by ambulance. She was not breathing. They intubated her and transferred her to Children's Hospital in DC. They found that she had a seizure. She was put on anti seizure medication and was monitored. Yesterday Zach and Shelby were told they believe she has a respiratory virus. She is stable and being monitored. As you can imagine, this has taken a toll on Zach and Shelby emotionally and financially. Her prescriptions are costly and with the addition of anti seizure medications for an undetermined time they are struggling. Zach has had to take off work and Shelby stays home to care for Reagan. Reagan has been on a long journey but is now 9 months old and is getting close to coming home! She will still have medical needs such as oxygen, medications, home health care visits and frequent checkups for the foreseeable future. All donations are greatly appreciated to help with the family's financial needs.

A few weeks ago my son Zach and his wife Shelby received devastating news. Their beautiful little girl was diagnosed with a condition called Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). It is a rare birth defect in which the baby's diaphragm does not form properly. An opening in the diaphragm leads to organs in the abdomen moving up into the chest cavity limiting the growth of the lungs. We are fortunate to be so close to John's Hopkins where they have been going once a week to be closely monitored. Unfortunately, the treatment will be extensive with possible multiple procedures for Reagan before and after her birth, including spending time in the NICU for several weeks to months until her lungs have developed enough for her to come home. The money will be used for medical bills and hotel stays so they can be near their little girl during this long journey. Any money not used, will be donated to John's Hopkins for CDH research. We understand these are hard times we are currently living in and we are asking that if it's not possible for a donation to be made, please just say a little prayer for our sweet baby Reagan.
