Scott Schrader (Injured Fireman) Fund

Donation protected
On the night of April 1, 2014 Scott Schrader, a veteran Greenwood Mississippi Firefighter was injured when a burning beam crashed down on top of him, breaking his back in four places.  Scott was life-flighted to Jackson, Mississippi, where he underwent an immediate surgery to repair his vertebrate and disks.  Miraculously Scott came through the surgery very well and the only long-term damage is to his left arm.  However, since then Scott has developed some blood clots and the doctors have emplaced an ivc filter in his chest which has moved into his heart.  The doctors have this issue stabilized but he requires 24 hour care and supervisor for right now.  Scott and his family live in Greenwood, Mississippi and they will have to travel to Jackson, Mississippi often (100 mile south) over the next months, as he undergoes treatment to get him walking and completely back on his feet.  There is very little in terms of financial assistance to help the family despite his service and injuries.  Please consider donating to help this local hometown Hero and his family get back on their feet.
