Tayven James Williams arrived at 10:13am on March 29, 2014 and was 5lbs 5oz and 19 3/4 inches long.

Tayven was born with a medical issue that requires him to stay in the NICU at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane Washington as well as undergo several operations (we will not be posting any specific medical condition out of respect for his family). Sacred Heart is located about 2.5 hrs north of Richland Washington where his family lives and works. His doctors are extremely confident that the operations will allow him to live a very full and normal life.

Tayven will be spending an unknown amount of time in the NICU at Sacred Heart until the doctors determine that he is ready to go home. God has blessed this family emensely with accomdations for Logan while she will be staying in Spokane with Tayven. Chuck will be splitting his time in between Spokane and Richland for duration of his son's stay in the hospital. As you can imagine this is going to be a hard transition while he leaves his wife and new born son hours away, to return to work in order to continue to provide for his family. There is a great cost associated with traveling back and forth to Spokane. Also, Logan will be off of work for an unknown amount of time while Tayven is recovering. Once Tayven is released from Sacred Heart there will be follow up visits to his doctors in Spokane as well.

Chuck is the associate Pastor at The Summit Church located in the Tri Cities as well as a part time employee of a local non profit thrift store while Logan also works for a local retail store.

Chuck and Logan have posted several Bible verses in Tayven's Room and this is one of them:

"For in Him all things were created: things in heave and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.  He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." Colossians 1:16-17 NIV

The most important thing that we can do for this family is to pray for them. Chuck and Logan absolutely covet your prayers during this time, for Tayven and his recovery, for his doctors and nurses and for them as well. In talking with them they can feel those prayers and are incredibly grateful for them. So keep them coming.

Another thing we can do is to help financially. This will be used to help supply meals and gas for Logan while she is in Spokane traveling to and from her lodging and the hospital each day. Gas and meals for Chuck to travel the 2.5 hrs to and from home several times each week. Another way this is going to help is throughout Tayven's stay at the hospital he may need additional procedures. Having a little extra help will allow Chuck to miss work to attend the procedure so that he can be there to support his wife and just to be able to be there for his little boy.

Please pray for this dear family during this time and consider supporting them to help during this time of need.

One thing that Chuck has said many times with a smile on his face is that "God is Good"  they are so excited to have Tayven here and are in great anticipation of the day they get to take him home with them.
