Fund for Richard Schreiber\'s Funeral Expenses

In the early morning of Saturday September 17, 2011 and one week after his 64th birthday, our father and best friend, Richard Schreiber, left this world.  Having recently received a terminal diagnosis, Dad\'s battle with cancer was not so much a fight, but a swift and steady decline, and thankfully it seemed to create little suffering for him.  His last days were spent in minimal pain and surrounded by loved ones.  We take comfort in knowing he went in peace.

On Tuesday September 20, 2011, there will be visitation hours from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. followed by a brief service at Hayes Huling & Carmon Funeral Home in Granby, CT.  More information about Dad and his memorial service can be found here.

We have decided to keep his funeral arrangements very simple, and yet the cost of even the simplest memorial service threatens to create significant financial hardship for our small family.  We are raising money to help cover some of these expenses.  We appreciate any amount you consider donating through this secure website.  If you would prefer to send a check, please mail it to Meegan Schreiber, 35 New South Street, Apt. 108, Northampton, MA 01060.
