Matthew Daniel Pieczarka 1992 - 2014
Matt passed away on the evening of January 31st 2014, as a result of a mitral valve prolapse. He was 21 years old. Matt was a devoted student, a muscian, and an exceptional friend.
In order to comemorate Matt during the happiest years of his life here at the University of Victoria, we would like to set up a bench in his honor. Something his friends and family can visit for many years to come here on campus.
The Office of campus planning has told me that the price of a bench with a plaque on campus will cost $3000, a goal I'm confident we can obtain.
CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE. We have surpassed our $3000 goal in less than 16 hours. Any further donations will go towards a professionally made memorial website, accessible to anyone. Thank you all so much for your love, help, and support. We have earned something for someone we cared deeply for. A permanent reminder of one of UVic's most devoted students.
