Anel is 9 years old and has been diagnosed with HIGH RISK Neuroblastoma cancer on Januray 27 2014.
Neuroblastoma is a tumor of nerve tissue that develops in infants and children and can occur in many areas of the body. It develops from the tissues that form the sympathetic nervous system (which controls body functions, such as heart rate and blood pressure, digestion and levels of certain hormones). It can spread to the lymph nodes, liver, bones and bone marrow.
Also Neuroblastoma is put into three stages low risk, intermediate and high risk.
Anel is diagnosed with a high risk stage which means that the tumor has spread to other parts of the body and that he needs very intense treatments including surgery, radiation therapy, high dose chemotherapy followed by his or her own stem cell rescue.
He has already been through so much pain, but he is a fighter and such a brave boy.
Anel's parents and his little sister have been doing everything they can but need your help to save Anel. Even with insurance ,treatment for this aggressive cancer has been big financial burden and they need all the help they can get so he can have the surgery he needs to get better.
