Help a small community in a big way

Make something positive out of something heart breaking?That's what we are trying to do! Every day someone is lost to drinking and driving. On January 22, 2014, I lost my brother and my community lost a son. My brother's name was Jacey Cox and in his honour we are raising funds to fix up our childhood park and basketball court in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, Canada. We are fundraising to repair and perform maintenance on the George St. Park in Shelburne so that other children can enjoy the use of the park we grew up with and that was a big part of Jacey's life. Due to the decline of the economy the Town has struggled and the park is currently in disrepair. We want to make a place for the community to be proud of. We are doing this in a number of ways, including fundraising through this page, having an auction and holding a 3 on 3 basketball tournament and fun day August 30, 2014 in Jacey's memory.
