Charlotte LaFayette-McConnell

We are thrilled to announce that Charlotte is coming home in June! Thank you for all the love and support.

We Are Charlotte Strong!

Over this past week, the family has suffered an unexpected and heartbreaking loss. Charlotte's grandmother, Joyce Dulcos, passed away unexpectedly.

While this is a shock to everyone, the families know that Joyce is on the other side cheerleading for Charlotte's recovery! And it's already starting to work. Charlotte is tentatively scheduled to come home to Vermont in June.

This couldn't of happened without the love, support and kindness from all of you.

We will leave you with a quote from Joyce....

"Don't look back, that's not where we're going"

Thank-you, The Duclos, Lafayette, Trujillo and McConnell families.

Easter post-

Continuing the great news from Charlotte, as of 04/20/2014. Charlotte is enjoying her new room at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, in Boston, Ma. She has breathtaking views of the "Little Mystic Channel" out her huge bedroom windows. She has an amazing team of angels that coach her through therapy everyday, teaching her to regain her skills. Everyday there is improvement. This little lady is proving to be the amazing, determined, strong, resilient, and dynamite babe we all know her to be! Her Mama tickled her today, and got the biggest, best smile ever! This smile had a rippling effect, and is getting tons of enormously happy responses online. That's what she does,...makes us all smile! A true Easter miracle.

Update from family on 4/11/14.

Great news, Charlotte is being moved out of PICU, to an outpatient room until she goes to rehab. She will be moving to the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network in Boston, Ma. Her stay is being estimated at 3 months.

We would like to express our utmost gratitude for your donations that will help provide Karly the resources and time needed, to get Charlotte the best care possible. Our hearts are over joyed at the amazing strength and resilient power of this amazing little lady! We all, including Charlotte, feel the power of all the positive energy and prayers from you all, and are truly humbled.

Best regards,

The LaFayette & Duclos Family

Update from the family on 4/3/14.

Charlottes road to recovery is going to be very long. The extent of her injuries are reveling themselves. At this point, we understand that she will not be coming home for awhile. We are remaining positive that she will have a full recovery.  Thank you all again for your continued prayers and support.
