Saving Males Through Miles

Sean Sweetman from Chester along with his two friends Adam Stening and Russ Dean are going on a bike ride around England to every Premiership football ground. This is in aid of two charities close to their hearts. 1. The Campaign Against Living Miserably(CALM) it is one of the leading movements and charities against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. It has personally had an impact on all 3 of us as well as close friends in the past and we want to support their aims in reducing suicides and in particular young males in the UK. Over the coming months, we'll be sharing our stories on how it's impacted us. It's okay to talk. AND2. The Stroke Association (TSA). We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after having a stroke and to help those caring for their loved ones who have had a stroke. TSA provide specialist support, fund critical research and campaign to really make a difference in the lives of those who are impacted by strokes. Sean unfortunately lost his dad, Peter, to a stroke in July 2019. It also has affected Adams family, losing both his Nan & Auntie (Audrey Lee & Angela Lee) to strokes. The plan is to start at Newcastle United’s ground on the 15th May 2021. We will then work our way down the country, visiting every Premier league ground before finishing at the Emirates stadium 9 days later, where Arsenal (Peters beloved club) host Brighton on the final day of the season 23rd May 2021.
