8 yr old Inaya's Kidney Transplant

Donation protected
Hello, thank you for taking the time to visit this page.  We want to tell you a little about an amazing girl, Inaya, and the battles she has faced since birth, and humbly ask for your assistance.  Almost 8 years ago Inaya was born into this world.  At the time Inaya and her family lived in Massachusetts because her father Manish was stationed in MA serving in the United States Coast Guard. When she was born Inaya had only one functioning kidney and one kidney with decreased function.  So from an early age Inaya has been a fighter.  She was initially supposed to undergo a kidney transplant by age 1, but everyone’s surprise Inaya surpassed every doctor's expectations and fought like a little warrior for almost eight years.

During the first eight years of her life Inaya and her family settled in and made Massachusetts home.  Because of that they had access to the world’s best hospitals and some of the premier kidney specialists in the country.  Inaya is closely followed by the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Program at Boston Children's Hospital, a unique program for children with kidney failure. For eight years she has been through countless tests and appointments, and all the while she has been courageous and strong, and constantly brings joy to her family and all who know her.

Inaya’s family has known since she was born that she will need a kidney transplant.  They have known that as she grows the window of time continually shrinks before she must have a transplant, but her family and her doctors hoped that she could wait on the transplant until early in 2022.  However on April 16, 2021 Inaya and her family learned that Inaya's kidney condition had begun to rapidly deteriorate, at a rate that the doctors did not anticipate.  Because of that Inaya will be admitted as an inpatient to Boston Children's Hospital on April 26th to initiate hemodialysis to replace the function of her kidneys. Following hospitalization, she will require dialysis three times per week until she receives a kidney transplant.

Inaya’s Dad, Manish, is currently screening to be the kidney donor for his dear Inaya. He has been cleared by the transplant team to be moved onto the next portion of the screening process. Unfortunately, the screening process cannot go fast enough to avoid dialysis. Dialysis and a renal transplant are the only treatments for Inaya’s medical condition.  She and her family hope that she can get a successful kidney transplant in the near future which they pray will put her on the path to a long healthy life!

As you can imagine this has been very challenging for Inaya and her family.  The challenges are only increasing now with the need for dialysis.  Because of all of this we are asking for your assistance to help support Inaya and her family with the medical expenses that they will incur through both the dialysis and ultimately the kidney transplant.  And to help get this beautiful girl healthy and strong so she can enjoy the full and exuberant life that she, and all children, deserve.  All funds will go toward medical expenses and ongoing care for Inaya, this will be a lifelong battle for Inaya, and we all want to set her up to have the best fighting chance possible.

We want to thank you all for the prayers and support that you have shown, and continue to show, to Inaya and her family!  Thank you for your generosity, it truly means more than you could ever know.
