What’s Natalie’s Story? When Natalie was 15yrs old she hurt her lower back while in the doctors office by sitting up on the table. She was misdiagnosed and pushed around from physical therapy to orthopedic surgeons when finally after imaging they recognized she had herniated two discs,That was just the beginning. Fast forward three more years at 18yrs old and an extensive amount of travel to help discover the mystery We had discovered that Natalie has a connective Tissue disorder that affects all of her ligaments and collagen throughout her body. It was discovered that every joint in her body is Excessively hyper mobile causing mostly her spine and skull and jaw to clash around effecting blood vessels, And a slew of neurological symptoms. Because This condition is very rare there is no protocol set forth to give these patients back their lives. There is a handful of doctors in the East Coast that I leading the way. One specifically in Maryland the other in Pennsylvania. They are both neurosurgeons that I sitting practical and helping to save lives. One of which Does not except insurance. Natalie’s spine has in places subluxed (or come out of place) many many times Requiring eight surgeries since she was 18 years old. We as a family have packed up and lived out of suitcases For the last two years. Balancing time from work little sister school and Natalie’s life. This next surgery that is required is $11,000 before she can have the surgery to finish up using her spine. Natalie’s Character. Natalie is a vivacious, intelligent, caring and beautiful human being. That as she says “ just wants to live life” She’s never had a chance to physically experience high school (except for the first 4 weeks) however did graduate with honors from homebound and did so from her sheer determination to succeed. She wants to go to college to make friends and experience life as a young lady of 20. But she has lost all that she has ever known as far as Friends and some family members that have abandoned her because her condition has been a chronic. However she keeps your head up high and keeps her immediate family close & her Jesus closer. There is a light at the end of the tunnel she just needs to get ahead of it. What does Natalie need? Right now she needs People to rally around her to show her the love and support.
