Houston Flood Relief- Rogers Family

Our best friend and her family have lost their home, cars and any possessions that they could not take on a kayak when they were rescued. Anyone who knows the Rogers family knows that they would be the first to step up and assist others in need. But they would NEVER ask for help- but I feel the need to ask on their behalf for assistance to get them through the initial hardships of finding basic necessities before they can even begin the process of moving forward.
On Sunday the 27th Alison texted us that their bottom floor was flooded. They worked tirelessly into the wee hours of the night to move what they could from downstairs to higher ground upstairs. In the meantime, their family including Emily (12) and Blake (8) were quarantined to the upstairs quadrant with no power, limited food, and contaminated water filling the first floor. They finally reached a breaking point and had to evacuate by boat with what little they could carry. My husband witnessed when he picked them up that you could not tell where the bayou began and where their yard previously existed- it is now their first floor!
I know your thoughts, prayers, and consideration for the Rogers family will drastically ease the stress that they have encountered.
