Hi my name is Autumn and I am a first generation high school graduate as well as a first generation college student. I am currently attending Southern Utah University Majoring in Anthropology and Minoring in Psychology.  I have a GPA of 3.7 and am a member of the National Society for Leadership and Success. This year I was offered a chance to attend a short term study abroad program where I will be engaging in rural community aid in Guatemala. I will be completing service projects in rural villages, health clinics, rural schools, visiting ancient Maya sites as well as working along with the Mayan people. As a young Native American woman I believe it to be important to expand my educational career as well as diversify myself in traveling abroad and helping other Native American people. This educational experience will help strengthen my Anthropological career and any help would be very much appreciated. Anthropology is a very large passion of mine and I have always desired to travel abroad and work in some of the most amazing places on Earth. I am only asking for donations because I currently work as a seasonal park ranger for the National Park Service and help take care of my grandmother who is a Dialysis patient. Most of my personal funds are contributed to my household and to other school expenses therefore a trip such as this I will need community support for myself to attend. I am asking for 3,000.00 to cover my airfare room and board as well as food costs.
