Carol's Medical Fund


This is Carol, this amazing lady is a veteran and served as an Army Sergant for three years where she met her husband. She was an upstate New York native, but soon after serving in the military, they relocated to Pennsylvania where were raising two young boys.  Unfortunately, Carol was widowed in 1996 leaving her to raise her sons on her own.  In 1998, she established CD Stables where locals could safely board their horses and eventually added riding lessons for new riders. She also was a founding member and president of the Path Valley Saddle Club which provided riding opportunities and events for its members. Carol's love of horses and animals didn't stop there, she also worked as a vet tech for about 5 years and with local farmers. Once her sons were grown and had families of their own, Carol relocated to Hollidaysburg, PA where she helped Jeff Yeager in the operation of Lakeview Stables. Lakeview Stables is a participant in the Dreams Go On Program where people with disabilities can take advantage of therapeutic riding services to help them build trust, confidence, and responsibilities among many other attributes. 

This wonderful mother, grandmother, army veteran and lover of animals has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma. Glioblastoma is a fast growing, inoperable and incurable cancerous brain tumor.  Carol has been fighting hard but the battle is taking its toll.  We are starting this GoFundMe in order to help Carol and Jeff with the multitude of medical bills and nursing home fees that are quickly piling up as Carol is unable to care for herself on her own.  Please consider donating, if you can not donate, please share this post in order to help Carol, Jeff and their family.
