On friday March 22nd 2019 my sisters life at the age of 20 yrs old was forever changed, due to a horrible hit and run accident on Jefferson blvd and San Pedro ave. at the city of Los Angeles by this guy name Paulino Diego Pedro.  He left the scene but he left his car with all of his information hoping the police would go and look for him.  Newton Police Station gave the suspect time to disappear.  They did not transfer my sister's case to a Dectective for investigation right away. They waited 10 days, enought for this person to run away.  Now there is a 25,000 reward for who ever turn this individual onto custody. Going back to what happend to my sister that day of the accident, she was rushed to Dignity Califonia Hospital which was the closes hospital to admit her.  My sister was intubated in order for her not to feel any of the pain that she was going thru. We were all praying for her to make it and in the end her life was at risk all because of the horrible accident.  She has several fractures in her body and the worst one was her right leg, it was badly injured.  Surgeons were trying to save her leg since friday thru saturday, but at the end they couldn't do much.  It was the moment of thruth for my parents to decide between my sister leg or her life.  We couldn't believe what was happening to us and to her. My parents had to make the most difficult decision in their life.  So mom and dad had to sign the consent for her leg to be Imputated because my sisters life was in jeopardy.  Sunday morning my sister wakes up and the news was given to her. Her life completely changed forever from one day to the other. Once we told her about the amputation she didn’t take it well but once time passed she began to understand that it was a second chance of life that it was given by sll mighty one and something that she's looks to forward everyday. A week later she was transferred from Dignity California Hospital to Kaiser because her insurance belongs there.  She is now into her fourth week of recovery, pretty soon she will be havin her skin graph, and hopefully she gets to go home soon. This gofundme page will help fund any medical expenses from the hospital she's going to have or anything that she needs to modify at home to continue her recovery as well as looking into a prosthetic for her in the future,  continue with her education in Nursing, employment, and start a new chapter of her life.  Thank you very much for all of your support and please continue sharing so my sister could reach her goal. Thank you very much...blessings.
