Megans Wish was set up after a life changing experience, with regards to Scoliosis.

Due to the kind generosity of the public Megan received her spinal operation in Turkey, she is now bouncing back and we have set up Megans Wish to help other children in the same situation.

Our aims of the charity are :
a) To represent the interests of and promote well-being to all the young people within the defined area living with scoliosis

b) To promote the interests and rights of young people and to encourage them to be more actively involved in the ethos for the Charity

c) To ensure that all young people are consulted and informed regularly of events

d) To work towards improving the quality of life for young people and their community

e) To assist and promote social activities for recreation, education, training and enjoyment and encourage a community spirit and sense of responsibility for the young people and their families

f) To assist and promote community awareness of scoliosis within the identified geographical area (inclusive of schools, youth clubs, recreational clubs etc)

g) To take into account the views of children and young people who are not old enough to be voting members in the community

h) To create an inclusive environment for all community members regardless of physical disability, learning impairment or any health issues they may face

i) To promote health and well-being for everyone associated with the Charity

j) To promote good relations within the community and surrounding areas and enable other groups, organisations etc to be involved in increasing awareness of scoliosis

k) To financially aid families to fulfil their child’s journey to corrective surgery, including but not in their entirety consultations, flights, potentially incurred expenses
