Please Help John -The Relentless Fighter

Donation protected

John A. is a father, husband, dedicated IT Manager, 2 time cancer survivor, and now a stage 4 cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy.

John is in a battle that has lasted since 1992 since he was first diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer. John fought through after undergoing chemotherapy and having part of his colon removed and was cancer free for 19 years.
I met him in March of 2012 at work and was surprised to learn he had just had his second series of four operations, this time removing more of his colon after being diagnosed with stage 3 cancer also followed on by 6 months of chemotherapy.
John worked most days, some days sweating profusely and his face showing a constant tint of light green. The most amazing thing? He never complained, never whined, never even brought up his discomfort. He was just there to help as our IT manager any way he could and he also went through the day with the most consistently positive and upbeat attitude that was nothing less than inspiring.
John then learned after spending a year healing from the last operation, wearing wound vacs, pain and discomfort and finally feeling better that he now has stage 4 colon cancer and has had yet another operation which also required the partial removal of his stomach. He is now in his third of six months of a new chemo treatment that is extremely powerful and makes him very sick and very tired, but he presses on with persistence with his everlasting great attitude.
With a look of renewed seriousness and determination he goes about his day to day job because he loves it and he wants to keep moving and knows that his mind and his attitude is what drives him.  He is also driven by his simple and profound understanding and appreciation for life. He wants to live, and will keep on working and getting treatment without giving up.
Of course John didn't ask for help, I asked and he told me and given the example of dedication to his family and work, I believe he is a man worth supporting and helping to offset the cost of the misfortune he has endured.
Please join me and his colleagues to give what you can to help him and his family for what has amassed thus far, leave a comment, or even just a word of encouragement.
Thank you very much for supporting John and his family to overcome the challenges of his illness and financial obligations. If not, please at least thank him for his inspiration and give him encouragement and keep him in your thoughts. He would be very grateful and thank you for your kind words, and any donations will be well spent supporting a relentless fighter and an inspiring example of persistence when we think of how to meet the most difficult challenges we may face head on.
Thank you,
GCL.
