Will You Help Me Materialize My Goal?

My name is Karla Servin. For as long as I remember, the entrepreneurial spirit has inhabited my being. The idea of actively pursuing this spark has never lacked presence, and it's brought forth many moments of excitement. Fear of failure has held me back from combating the self-made obstacles and actually bring that idea to life. "One day VERY soon," I've told myself to quiet the objections to the obstacles.

Over the past couple of years, the idea of reinventing that one outfit that women think about getting out of their work clothes and coming home to has been an unpursued BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) that has seemed way too enormous (and scary) to materialize. Imagine a jar with an idea that's been sitting there for years. Over time, the idea is nurtured with continuous thought and edits. Next thing you know, a little push from the universe arrives, reminding you how precious time is and how relevant your dreams are. And you start to think--imagine if I succeeded at bringing my idea to life. Imagine what would happen if I cut up this big, hairy, audacious goal into small, actionable and digestible pieces and just went for it.

What's the worst that could happen?

So here's what's been brewing in my brain.

I am going to design a comfortable, effortless, flattering cover-up that will feature artist's paintings as the print. I want women to come home after a long day at work and ditch their old, faded shorts and sweats for a soft, colorful, fashion-forward cover-up that will add a brand new dimension to the evening at home.

Women should love how they look, even after the 9-5 grind. What better way to do so than wrapped in art? My hopes are that my product will bring exposure to talented artists who are looking to put themselves out there in a creative way.

I am seeking your assistance because funds are needed to bring this dream to fruition. My project will start small, and grow depending on consumer enthusiasm and response.

*Production of 3 cover-up styles in Small, Medium, Large, X-large (amount per size/style to be determined)
*Cost of textile printing for aforementioned cover-ups

*Farmers market enrollment fees
*Purchase and enrollment of mobile credit card processing device
*Miscellaneous items identified throughout design and implementation process
