"Nikki, what do you want for your birthday now that you will be a quarter century on April 3rd?" - Where and when is the TURN UP?!"
Yes, I did contemplate throwing a party and Yes I did contemplate getting new clothes. That is the norm and that's what every other normal soon to be 25 year old would do for their birthday. But then it hit me!!! I am so blessed! I am living, breathing, I have a J-O-B, an amazing family, the list could go on. I don't need ANYTHING.
So this year, I am going to be do some thing Bold and Different.
"How will you achieve that?"...Well, her is a piece of my story:
In 2013, God placed a calling on my life after visiting friends and family in Jamaica. Over the two weeks in the town of Moravia, I noticed the needs of the town's children who spend much of their time wandering the streets. My family had the opportunity to spend time with them, playing games and reading books and I noticed how much their lives were changed. By the end of the trip, I wondered how will they spend their time when we leave? What books will they read? What enrichment will they have?"
It was then God revealed his perfect plan - He wants me to build a summer program for the kids in the Moravia community.

Partner with me in continuing to change the lives of others on and after my day of birth. For my birthday this year my only wish is that you would become a partner in giving back and advancing the lives of those kids. The families in Jamaica are struggling with the necessary every day essentials we take for granted - food, clothing, shelter, you name it. Many of us had that same story, but education and resources were and is our ticket out of those situations. My kids in Jamaica deserve that same opportunity.
I am totally in! How can I help?!:
I am happy you asked! Students will be starting school in the Fall of 2014 and need school supplies to ensure their first months of classes are a success. Here is how you can partner:
1) TURN UP with me by giving a Donation of $15.00 to provide a school back pack
2) TURN UP with my by giving a Donation of $25.00 to provide a school back pack and school supplies (pens, paper, pencils, erasers, folders, etc)
3) TURN UP with me by giving Any donation to provide school essentials (books, clothing, etc)!
