Cousin Benny's Final Farewell

My father's near five year battle with lymphoma has begun winding down. I have only ever seen a small handful of people stay as optimistic throughout this fight as he did. Treatment after treatment he and mom stayed strong. What was once "three months to live" became an entire year and a half. For that miracle we will be eternally grateful. The extra time we had with him was more than we could ask for. The extra months we were blessed with his beautiful music will be remembered. Most importantly, the added moments he was able to spend with mom and all of us will be cherished.

The doctors informed mom that he has weeks left here in mortality until his glorious reunion with our Father in Heaven. Together they have chosen a week of radiation and then hospice. His goal is to make it through Christmas, and as a family we are hoping for that one last miracle.

In preparation for what is to come, we decided to change our focus on this site. We have been so blessed by those who've already contributed endless hours of service, prayers, and donations. Through your actions our ohana has truly felt your love. Thank you for all that you have done to help keep dad with us a little longer.

We are so grateful to have a loving Heavenly Father who has granted us so many blessings and miracles. Dad has fought a good fight, he has finished his course, he has kept the faith. Though the tears will not be withheld in these final moments and in moments to come, in the words of a beautiful friend, Christa who had finished her course last year, "Thy will be done, but for now we fight!"
