Africa Here I Come (Again)

4,000 students and 20 teachers...all of whom I will get to work, teach, and learn alongside this summer. Being a teacher has always been my passion and I'm getting the chance to take my passion abroad! From June 15th through June 29th I will be traveling with a group of teachers to Malawi, Africa in Kauma village. I will have the opportunity to take the skills that I have developed throughout my education and experience in the classroom and work alongside local teachers to impact their schools. I am looking forward to developing relationships with students, teachers, and locals in the village but I need your help!
The cost: My volunteer costs are comprised of airfare, local transportation, meals, and a safari. I'll be staying in Malawi for 14 days and $3500 will cover my whole trip! Please know that any donation large or small would be extremely appreciated in funding my trip and helping me pursue my passion for education.
The organization I'll be traveling with: Last summer the nonprofit organization "With Change in Mind" worked closely with more than 20 Teach For America corps members in South Carolina to create a meaningful and close to culture experience. Your support: I can't thank you enough for being supportive of yet another experience I am lucky enough to have. I have been able to broaden my horizons and see the world with thanks to my friends and family. I hope to continue learning about other cultures, children, and education systems but it wouldn't be possible without your support!
