Help William from being Unhoused

I would like to Raise $1,700 to Keep my friend William Caldeira from being evicted from his place.
William has spent the last 8 years or so on the streets of Berkeley but he is currently living in an apartment and finally, after 8 years is off the streets !
Unfortuantly he is now facing an eviction, if he can't come up with$1,700 as agreed in a settlement today between his lawyer and a lawyer representing his landlord. When I started this go fund me page he needed $6,300 in back rent. Now this has been waived in a settlement and he just needs $1,700 by Feb 13th. I posted about this in a update but am now changing the main page to reflect the new goal. This is a big change and really fantastic news.
William currently is recovering from having his wrist broken while being forcibly detained by the police and then released. This was due to his landlord making a false call to the police. William has faced many challages while living on the streets. He needs our help to hang on to this place and hopefully get out from under all the hardships he has faced for so many years.
We are hoping for a large number of small donations to raise this money. Please give what ever you can afford and let's see if we can make this happen.
It would mean so much for him and would help give him a fighting chance at finally, after all these years getting his life back.
