Jamie's Top Surgery Fund

Hi, I'm Jamie and I'm transgender. I came out 2 years ago and started testosterone 6 months ago. The waiting list for NHS gender clinics is between 18-24 months, and I have been on the waiting list since October 2017 (27 months) with no luck. Due to the painfully long wait times, I have decided to use private services for my top surgery. Being able to pay for this surgery will be truly life-saving and will make a massively positive impact on my mental health and wellbeing. Top surgery is not a cosmetic procedure; this surgery will alleviate a lot of the painful dysphoria and discomfort that I experience every day and will give me the quality of life that I can only dream of right now. Unfortunately, I do not have the means to fund this on my own. I am currently completing a Masters degree in Neuroscience and Music Perception, which means that I have had limited time to work and earn money over the last year. This degree will enable me to continue to do the life-changing music therapy work that I have been delivering for years for mental health sufferers, Alzheimer's patients, vulnerable youth, those in difficult socio-economic circumstances and others.  I will be *incredibly* grateful for any donations made, regardless of the amount.
