Blue Diamond Society for Caitlin Clancy

In December 2013, Caitlin Clancy became a statistic. She became 1 out of about 100,000 people to be diagnosed with Addison's Disease. Addison's Disease is a disease of the adrenal gland. It is usually caused when one's immune system starts attacking its own body. For this reason it often causes other disorders such as celiac and Type 1 Diabetes. After she was diagnosed her parents did not want her to go back to school. At the time she was in nursing school and loved it. She decided that she was not going to let the disease control her and returned to the school she loved. A few months after that, on February 17th 2014, she passed away.

Because Caitlin was so passionate about being a nurse, her parents have started a scholarship fund in her name. They are collecting money and will give a scholarship to a deserving student each year who may not have the money to attend nursing school.

The Blue Diamond Society of Colgate Univeristy is holding its annual March Madness fundraiser in her name and looking for your help! 100% of the money will being going to the Caitlin Clancy Memorial Scholarship Fund. Thank you all in advance for your donations.
