Travel/Medical Expenses

July 20th 2017 started out like any other day. Brice was driving back to moms house after spending some time with a friend and her family. The drive went smoothly. After arriving at my moms house he was a little exhausted, we all thought maybe it was from all the time he had spent in the sun or even the drive had worn him out. Later that day he told our brother Kevin he was going to take a nap and to wake him up at about 9:30pm so he would be able to see me when I got off work. A few minutes later Kevin looked over at Brice and he was shaking. Kevin thought he was brushing a bug off of him only to find out he was having a seizure. He quickly ran to get mom and papa(her husband) they called 911 and rolled Brice to his left side. Kevin then called me at work telling me what happened I left immediatly and drove to my moms. Kevin, my mom, and I followed the abulance to Silverton Hospital. We waited for the drs to do a cat scan that showed brice had a mass on the right front of his brain. They then transfered brice at 2am to Randalls Childrens Hospital in Portland. Kevin and I stayed at Randalls until 8 am July 21 2017. While we were at work they did a MRI confirming that the mass was a tumor. Brice then prepped for surgery, he went in at 2pm and was out at 7pm. They had gotten as much out as they could but would not have for sure answers about what grade the tumor was or the severity until they tumor was sent out for testing. For days brices dad, mom, sibling, and families significant other visited him. On July 24 2017 Brice was discharged from the hospital still waiting results of the tumor. August 9 2017 the hospital finally called with some results we would soon verify by the doctors in san francisco. Monday August 28 2017 Brice, his dad, and his dads girlfriend went to the doctors in san francisco. The news they received was not what any parent or child would like to hear. Brice was diagnosed with a Grade 4 tumor. Grade 4 is the highest grade we were hoping for a grade 2. The docotrs have a route they would like to go with treatment.

As you can imagine my mom would love to be there for him in this time of need. He has a ton of support in california where he is currently living. My mom currently lives in Oregon and would like to travel to Brice. Also whatever is not used on travel will be used to help pay for brices treatment. I am not sure how much we need to raise but you cant start an account without a goal. Please if you could help us we would be very thankful.
