I will cut right to the chase. My family is hurting very badly right now, and I'm asking for help.
After my father's two heart attacks and various family emergencies, we've been extremely poor for the past 5-6 years. It seems it's finally caught up to us.
The state of Illinois issued a levy of wages against my parents for unpaid taxes, and have just now (this Friday) gone into their bank account and placed a hold of $3,446.77 against it.
We can't access any funds. We now have no money until that number is paid back in full.
My father is currently in Texas doing consultancy work, and my mother and I are in Arizona, trying to deal with this situation as best as we can. I just got their permission to reach out and ask for help.
I would never ask for this if it wasn't extremely dire. If you have the ability, and would like to help, I'm asking you to please donate a small amount to this effort.
Until we deposit $3,446.77 into the account, we have no access to any money"”it all gets seized by the state of Illinois until the taxes are paid in full.
My mother gave me permission to ask about this, only on one condition: We will keep track of every donation, and we intend to pay you back within a few months at most.
Again, we want to pay everyone back who is generous enough to donate and help. We would not ask this if the situation were not so extreme.
