Medical and Living expenses

In August 2013, my mother (left in the photo) was a 49 yr old beauty, mother of 2, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother..who gave all that she had, almost to a fault..she would go every other wkend to the homeless shelter and cut their hair, she cleaned the apt of a mentally disabled woman every other wkend, and let several families live in her home to help them get on their feet..we worked in the church nursery together on Sunday's, and she could find a $100 bill on the ground and would tithe 10% of it..She was an avid cyclist, a salon owner, and a social butterfly..she is my best friend..on Nov 18th, 2013, she was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gherig's disease. Since November, she has had a feeding tube put in, dropped to 93lbs, no longer able to walk, breathe on her on, swallow, or talk, and is now using a "tobi" which is a device that allows her to speak with her eyes..every day is surreal..you'd think that eventually this "new life" becomes the norm..but it doesn't..every day I go to see her, and every day I leave there just thinking, this is really happening..you think with something like this, the government that she's paid into all of her able life would pay to help, but they don't..my mother came from a life of poverty and has faught all her life for one thing..to own her home. Now she is faced with the reality of having no income, and is about to lose what she fought so desperately to earn..her sanctuary..her home..my uncle, brother, and myself have faught so hard to pay her bills in hopes to maintain what is so important to her..her home...as of a week ago, we were told her breathing is at 40% of normal..and at 30% she has about 6 months to live..our goal is to to keep her in HER HOME..AT ANY COST..for the remainder of her life..whatever that number may be..She is my mother and my very best friend, and I will do anything...............

to ensure that however many months she may have left, it is spent in the comfort of her own home..she sheltered me and comforted me for several yrs of my life, and all I want to do is, return the favor..any and everything helps..
