SANTA NEEDS YOUR HELP!
It’s that time of year when kids everywhere are making their lists and checking them twice. For many children in Ottawa, however, it’s a little different – this year, more than ever. Their hoped-for toy may not be under the tree waiting Christmas morning, unless we have your help.
Due to the current pandemic, the 50-year strong Help Santa Toy Parade and Santa Parade of Lights have been cancelled.
But, nothing can stop Santa!
While we are all disappointed, our goal to spread happiness and cheer to families in need in our Community remains the same. It just may look a little different this year…
Together with the Retired Ottawa Fire Fighters’ Association, many partners are joining forces to keep Toy Mountain growing. Thanks to Frontline Credit Union, the Ottawa Professional Fire Fighters’ Association, Ottawa Fire Services, and the Salvation Army, for carrying on this Ottawa tradition.
How can you become one of Santa’s elves?
Give generously to the “Help Santa Campaign” where your donations will go directly to supporting the important work of the Salvation Army in getting toys in the hands of kids in need this year. Help us reach our goal of $150,000.
Also, consider dropping off a new, unwrapped toy at one of the collection locations found on the Toy Mountain website, including Frontline Credit Union at 365 Richmond Road in Westboro.
Even though the sounds and excitement of the parades will be missing this year, Santa cannot be stopped!
