Studying Abroad in Paris, France!

I was recently accepted into a faculty-led Summer program to study abroad in Paris with two lovely professors from San José State University! During my time there, I would be studying the culture and history of France. This is not only a great opportunity to travel, but a chance to expose myself to a culture that differs from my own. It would be a great way to broaden my way of thinking while also giving me a chance to learn or strengthen various practical and interpersonal skills. This program would also be a great opportunity to use the three semesters of French Language studies that I have taken, je suis très heureuse!

This trip to France, in addition to fulfilling two upper division GE requirements, would be a great location for my art studies! Learning about various cultures, histories, and people would allow me to create more convincing and relatable stories. The architecture and people would be great subjects to draw and I would have the chance to see various street artists as we tour. There is also, of course, a day dedicated to studying Paris' art history. On that day I would have the opportunity to tour Montmartre and the Musée D'Orsay. This would be great for studying the work of the masters, as well as color, value, composition, and various techniques that can be utilized throughout my career.
