My name is Ella. I am 11 years old and one of six kids in my family. I recently found out that I have to undergo spinal surgery because of severe scoliosis and immature bones in my body. My spine has grown into my shoulder; therefore, if I do not receive this survey in the next year, my spine will start to crush organs in my body such as my lungs and my heart. In addition to the cost of surgery and lodging, I will need physical therapy, as well as other medical follow-ups all of which are very expensive, but necessary to help me throughout my long recovery. My surgery is schedule for the end of March and will take place at NYU. Any donations would be greatly appreciated by my family and I.
