Max Myers Austrian National Team Intern

I have been invited by the Head Coach of the Austrian National Lacrosse Team (also the Head Varsity Coach for Kingwood High School) to be the Communications and Media Coordinator Staff member for the team at the Lacrosse World Championships in Denver this July 6th-19th. The Austrian Team is one of 38 National Teams at the Championships and I look forward to seeing and experiencing world cultures through lacrosse.

As the media coordinator I will organize and update all team media including website, social media and blogs, schedule and work with team photographer, conduct video interviews with team members and staff as well as members of other teams and FIL Staff and have a one day internship with Team Ireland as part of our exchange program.

Along with my media responsibilities, I will have the opportunity to play with the Austrian team during mini-camp and scrimmages before the start of the Championships - giving me real game experience with other national teams. This trip will immerse me in the professional atmosphere of lacrosse premier athletes. It is an honor and an amazing opportunity as I work towards my goal of playing lacrosse in college.

It is my responsibility to fund my portion of the trip with Team Austria and assist in fundraising for the team. My goal is to raise $5,000 - its a lofty goal but with hard work and support from my family I feel confident we can do it. 

As part of my plan to raise money, I am asking for donations of any amount, every little bit helps. For those who live in the Kingwood area or close by, I want to offer an exchange for a donation...I can do yard work, babysitting, individual and group lacrosse lessons, window washing, car washing, dog sitting...just to name a few. I also hope to secure a part time job this summer to help with costs - but need to focus on school for now!
