Miracle Mikey

As many of our friends and family know Mikey was born almost 12 weeks premature.  He started his little life at 2lbs 13 ozs and spent the first 9 weeks of his life in an incubator at a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.   Mikey has endured several major surgeries in his 7 yrs with us.  Mikey has endured several hours of Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy, Horseback therapy, and Swim therapy a week.  Mikey is a happy 7yo boy going to public school and loving first grade! He is such happy, loving, compassionate little boy. He has a heart of gold and a smile that can always make a bad day good!  Mikey has exceeded anything and everything any Medical Dr. has said he would not achieve. On June 17, 20014 we will  travel to St. Louis, Missouri to start the next and hopefully final surgery called Selective Dorsal Rhysotomy.   This surgery has a highly probable chance Mikey will some day walk.  Please keep Mikey in your prayers during his surgeryand recovery. It will be a long road but one that will help him live his life to the fullest!  Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support in helping Mikey be the happy and healthy kid we all know and love.
