Lisa Is an only child who was dealt 2 blows in 2013. In April she lost her Mom only to discover 2 months later she would have long battle ahead of her. You see Lisa got diagnosed with a rare form of liver and bile duct cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma. This cancer effects only 1-2 people out of 100,000 and has very little research on which treatments will work best to treat and stop the further spread of this disease. There is only a thirty percent chance of survival if it is found early enough,we thought Lisa would be in that thirty percent. In June Lisa went in for a lengthy surgery to remove the tumor which led to 60 percent of her liver being removed and her bile duct which had been completely destroyed was removed. Lisa underwent chemo and radiation and seemed to be doing very well until January of this year, when she was ready to go for her final round of chemo she had to be admitted because she had an infection. Since then Lisa has been in and out of the hospital with numerous infections and low blood counts requiring blood transfusions and was unable to have her final round of chemo. On March 12th Lisa was told her cancer has now spread and is terminal. She was able to go home that day to be surrounded by her family to help her deal with her diagnosis. She now has to go through having her belly drained due to access fluid in her belly.She is now back in the hospital to get inpatient chemo to buy her more time with her family and to hopefully prevent further spread of this awful disease , her husband has been her rock through all of this having to miss work to be by her side as she battles one more infection and get strong enough for the Doctors to start her chemo. She has been told by her Doctors to stop working and to try enjoying the remaining time she has left,you see throughout all of this Lisa has tried to keep working so that she can keep her health insurance now without her be able to work she has to pay her insurance out of pocket so this is why I have decided to start this fund to be able to help her with her expenses so that she need not worry how she will pay for everything that keeps coming at her. One of Lisa's wishes is to be able to take her husband away for a weekend in Maine to show him how much she appreciates him and is lucky to have him by her side.Please help me help her
