Help the Green family recover

Dear friends and family,
On Saturday night, (February 20th) there was an accidental fire started in the home of my Aunt Karen. Tragically, her son and my cousin, Patrick LeRoy, who had special needs was caught in the fire and passed away. Due to his mental health issues, the chaos of the fire had scared him so terribly that he hid from those trying to save his life and could not be found. It was in the smoke and flames that he took his last breath. He was Thirty-One years old.
This is not the only tragedy this family has suffered in the past year. Several months ago, my Uncle Ron, who was married to my Aunt Karen for over thirty years and was also the only person in the family able to work, (since Karen was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease) fell off of the roof of their home after trying to make some repairs and was hospitalized. A few days after the hospital cleared him to go back to his family, he died in his sleep. The only thing left to their family was their home (which the bank had threatened to take from them if they could not keep up with payments) and a few thousand dollars; enough to get them by for maybe half a year. All of their worldly possessions were taken from them on this night along with something else that cannot be measured - Patrick LeRoy. The Red Cross has put them in a hotel for the past few days but that help is coming to an end.
My family and I ask you to please find it in your hearts to help people who have never been dealt a fair or easy hand in life. Who have never asked for anything other than the security of a roof over their head, some food in their stomachs and the love shared within their family... all of which they are left without. I cannot imagine the grieving process that comes with losing your husband, your child, your health and everything that you have to your name within a year. Our only hope is that we can raise enough money for my Aunt so that she may be able to mourn the loss of her family without having to worry about where she will sleep and how she will be able to survive and provide for herself and for her daughter. Please help us on our journey and never forget just how truly precious life is.
