<div>Hi, my name is Jonathan and my cat <strong>Pepper</strong>, who has lived with me for the last eight years here in New York City, was originally adopted by myself and my ex back in Beijing, China, in 2011. Pepper has been my best friend through thick and thin as I navigated my divorce and living in the United States and New York City.

<div>Early last year, <strong>Pepper was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism</strong> and now has been diagnosed with stage three renal failure. Everyone who supported and helped Pepper through his hyperthyroidism, I am eternally grateful. I hate to have to lean on people again, but unfortunately, I'm in a situation where I don't have enough money to afford Pepper's treatment.

<div><strong>This morning I woke up and Pepper was meowing in pain and has been unable to use the litter box and has been convulsing and vomiting.</strong> As I write this, I'm waiting for an appointment at the vet Inwood Animal Clinic to see what can be done. I'm sure it's going to be a very expensive visit and I'm looking for help if anybody's able to help Pepper.
