I am writing to you all to say thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. My second Heart Surgery was successful, but complications in recovery caused me to go into septic shock and into a coma for a few weeks, but I survived my January 2014 hospitalization  and my recovery has been very strong. Thank you again for all your kind wishes.

My story starts though with my hospitalization and  coma in Maui in 2012. After going deep sea fishing fresh from my six month Heart Surgery checkup, a small cut on the bottom of my foot became infected and led to DIC and the use of pressure drugs that cut blood flow to my legs and arms. All of this resulted in me losing both legs and both hands. I only have a partial hand with almost no fingers and complete loss of hand and wrist.  I was in a coma over two weeks in Maui, life flighted back to the mainland with two months in the ICU unit of St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver before my recovery allowed me to come home.     I have to use just one partial hand to type and it is unfortunately my left hand and I do no have use of all my fingers only my thumb and pinky finger are left with just 1/2 of there length and use.  Sorry for the simple writing and text.     I will soon write the story of these past 3 years. Everyone who donates will get a signed (haha) copy with its printing.

Too bad I got sick again and had to have a second Heart Surgery this January, but am home again. I am now sending out a "wish" to the world to be able to get a new automobile that can be custom converted to fit my specific needs.  I have some awesome prosthetic legs with advanced feet to allow for "on road & off road". I have been having a great 2014 and my medical successes are in large part to all of you for your loving care & support.  My plans going forward are filled with the feeling or drive from within. Each year has had difficult health issues that have kept me from advancing back into the world , but no more.  The heart has gotten stronger and I am happy to adapt to a life as a amputee .  I have found that the a small SUV or crossover type van would fit my condition and special equipment easily .  Most of the new features will greatly help me with driving, parking and backing up.   I will also be letting my family use it to help with my medical and PT appointments. If you would like to donate to the costs, that would be very appreciated. If you know someone who would relate to my story and goals, please share. If you want to share your kind thoughts, I am eternally grateful.

  Thanks for caring. Love Josh
