Support Ocean View AND Feed the Homeless!

It's been a tough time for everybody during this COVID crisis. Here at Ocean View, we've been struggling to stay in business and make ends meet but we know we're only a part of the story. The numbers keep climbing higher and higher and the hospitals like our good friends down the street at Verdugo Hills are bracing for more cases to deal with.
At the same time with unemployment so high, there are record numbers of people that are suddenly homeless and don't know where their next meal is going to come from. And do you know where a lot of them end up? In the hospitals. Just looking for a comfortable bed for an hour. Or maybe a meal.
So one of the things that we can do to help keep our hospitals prepared for everything is to support our homeless shelters and the facilities that take care of these people and feed them. And that's what we do here at Ocean View. We take care of the people in our community. We feed them.
Since the crisis started, we've seen a lot of people come out to support us and our struggling business by just giving us money to help keep us in business. We've been feeling the love of our community in spades. So we've been doing our best to give back to our community.
Our friends at Ascencia in Glendale have been working to fight homelessness for 14 years. They are not only a shelter for the homeless, they also provide important services like employment placement, substance abuse recovery assistance, and counseling. What they do for our community is more important now than ever to help keep these people out of the hospitals.
At Ocean View, our mission is to support and nurture and take care of the people in our community, so we'd like to feed the residents at Ascencia. Again, we've cut our food costs down drastically for this, and once we reach $500 on this campaign we can easily feed all of them. If you have any extra money you can spare to donate to us now, you'll be donating to THREE worthy causes at the same time. You'll be helping to support our little local family-owned business, AND you'll be helping to feed the homeless, AND you'll be helping to keep more of the beds at our local hospitals free to fight the surging COVID cases.
