help the cantwell family

this is such a huge step, asking for help... we have a great support system but are still struggling. my husband ed cantwell was diagnosed with cancer on dec 6, 2013 and our lives have been turned upside down ever since! he was diagnosed with neuroendochrin, small cell cancer and has a good prognosis because we caught it early but the chemo and radiation have put a terrible strain on his body. because the tumor is located behind his esophagus the radiation has caused him to be unable to swallow without tremendous pain. he had a feeding tube placed and with his immunities being so low got an mrsa infection in his abdomen. he has been unable to work since mid december and even though we i have been working overtime, we are struggling financially. ed is a local 597 chicago pipefitter and very proud of his ability to provide for me and our two kids, ryan and becki. our children are both young adults and are helping out financially as much as they can. we are blessed to have family and friends who are also helping, but we need more help than they can give. i would just like to be able to pay our medical bills and meet our financial obligations. ed is on the road to recovery but it will take a lot longer than we thought due to the setbacks he is having. it will take a long time until he will have the strength to head back to work. we know that god is in control and are being held up by the prayers of many many people and are grateful! even in this dark time in our lives we consider ourselves truly blessed and hope to just "hang in there" until ed's recovery is complete! thank you!!
